Star Trek Costume Party in the Stratosphere!

Susan and I attended a party in the Stratosphere. Frankly, this was the most disappointing element of our convention experience. Nearly an hour to wait in the Stratosphere lobby for security to get in place and an elevator ride to the top, and then a shortage of seats at the party itself. Long lines for food. That said, the company was good, and the views spectacular!
Entertainment was provided by the actors who played the Ferengi at Quark's Bar in Deep Space Nine, Armin Shimerman ("Quark"), and Aron Eisenberg ("Nog")

Las Vegas Hilton, where Susan and I were staying, as seen from the Stratosphere. Las Vegas Strip, as seen from the Stratosphere. More of Vegas at night. The air there is so clear, you can see for many, many miles. City center area, which is not in the city center. It's a bunch of top-end shops on the Strip.

The infamous chocolate fountain. Delicious, but I didn't get one drop in my mouth before a chocolate covered strawberry fell off my dip stick and distributed a pound of chocolate all over my uniform top and pants. Susan did a little better than I did - but she got some on her as well. Susan and me at the top of the Stratosphere
